Fjall Raven

Named after the Swedish for 'arctic fox', Fjall Raven was started in the early 60s by 14 year old Ake Nordin who was on the search for the ultimate school bag. Nordin stated that "the whole idea behind Fjällräven is to offer functional equipment for more comfortable trips into the outdoors." The early fabric that was once the starting point for all Fjall Raven clothing has gradually been refined over time and has now become known as G-1000. A hard-wearing poly-cotton, it is almost completely waterproof and highly dirt-repellent thanks to their environmentally friendly beeswax coating. Fjall Raven continue to find innovative, smart solutions to making nature more accessible by improving material, decreasing weight and increasing the freedom of movement in their clothing and equipment.
