Grenson

Grenson Shoes was started William Green in Northamptonshire in the mid 19th Century. It was William's mother who taught him his trade as he helped her to produce men's boots at home. Green continued his trade throughout his life opening his first factory in 1874. The 'Greens Yard' factory was the first factory in the world to use the Goodyear welt construction method for manufacturing gentlemen's shoes, a method that is still used today. Taking a modern approach on the manufacturing of Brogue boots and shoes, with an array of punch hole patterns, triple thick leather and Vibram sole units, Grenson have revolutionised men's footwear without losing any of their heritage and quality.
